Family tradition The English-born signwriter began
his career working in his father's sign shop and later with
two other writers. He was never happy with the restrictions
of the fonts that exisited when the sign industry went vinyl
and therefore began digitizing the letterstyles he painted
by hand. Undoubtedly, my Father was the greatest influence
on my lettering. Arthur remarks, "Despite all the time
I've spent working with other writers, my work still looks
just like Dad's."
